Happy New Year Intrepids! A special thanks to Wendi for hosting such a fun New Year’s party.
As many of you know resolutions are common, especially as a new year begins. Common New Year’s resolutions I often hear are I’m going to work out more, I’m going to lose weight, I’m going to quit smoking, or I’m going to drink less beer. Some of us may have the ability and dedication to see one of our resolutions through to the finish, but often times what we need are goals.
So Intrepids, I need you spend some time contemplating your health and fitness goals for 2011. I usually like to break it down into things I’d like to accomplish in 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months. Goals can be performance based (lift more, faster WOD times, compete in competition, etc.), aesthetic based (lose weight, bulk up, look better naked, etc.), or anything else that comes to mind (stop eating grains, get my blood tested, ride my bike to work more often, etc.). I encourage you to post your goals to the comments section or at least share them with an Intrepid coach so your peers and coaches can help you reach your goals by providing support and some accountability.
Once you have some goals laid out for yourself, how can we at Intrepid help you reach them. We really take note of athlete feedback and want to our best to give you the resources and opportunities for you to reach your specific goals. Intrepid is a work in progress as we always strive to improve and we have a lot in store for 2011. We just want to be sure we’re including you, the athlete, in the process whenever possible.
