I want to wish a very Happy Birthday to a very special person in my life, my wife, my love.
I also want to thank Irene and Francis (my in-laws) for introducing Stephanie into this wonderful world (brownie points with the in-laws)
By now most know Steph, met her in passing or have heard of her in the box. So let’s get to know Steph when she’s out of the box. I figure as part of the series of birthday posts I’ve written for Steph so far, I’d like to lift the skirt up just a little bit and reveal 10 things you should know about my wife. (drum roll…)
10 Things You Should Know About Dr. Yong
We got an email from Viv “Muscles” asking for volunteers to help plant trees at From Lot to Spot’s Dominguez Creek site:
This is not a community event; there will be no cameras, no cute kids playing, hoop-la, etc. This is just you doing some real-time digging and planting. Some real labor shiz! But not only will you be “putting your back into it” but you will be
1. Restoring the Dominguez Creek to it’s natural state AND
2. Creating a recreation opportunity for park-poor, underserved neighborhoods in Gardena and Hawthorne.
You will go home that evening knowing you helped create a space that people will enjoy and use for decades to come; that’s pretty awesome I think for a Saturday morning.
