Camp for Grownups

I came across this camp the other day and while it’d be a tough thing for many of us to swing, I have to throw it out there because it sounds like so much fun. It is called Power Monkey Camp and it’s a week long crossfit camp for adults held from March 31 – April 6 in Crossville, TN. It’s a true overnight camp, just like when we were kids. You’re on an activity schedule, sleep in cabins, eat in a cafeteria (except this time it’s Paleo), have a blast and gain valuable life skills. Stations for the week include gymnastics (handstands, rings, parallel bar, bar work), weightlifting (snatch, clean and jerk), programming, jump rope, injury rehab, mobility, trampoline, and nutrition/cooking. Coaches will include Olympic athletes and Olympic coaches in the fields of gymnastics and weightlifting, as well as several Games level CrossFit athletes. Of course it also includes all of the other fun camp stuff like a ropes course, paintball, swimming, beach volleyball, etc. Since it’s not in California and it’s a whole week long, I’m sure it’s a long shot for most of us, but it sounds like a blast and I hope someone gets the opportunity to go.
