Gymnastics Resources

Since it’s a Saturday post and we know not very many of you read the weekend posts, I wanted to make you aware of a few awesome resources that we can use to improve our gymnastics skills.  The first is CrossFit Gymnastics run by Coach Jeff Tucker who also heads up the CrossFit Gymnastics Seminars.  Jeff is a stand up guy and Ruth and I learned a ton from attending his gymnastics seminar.  Dusty Hyland and the DogTown CrossFit team from Culver City also help Jeff and post a lot of helpful information and videos as well.  The second resource is Gymnastics WOD run by Carl Paoli from San Francisco CrossFit.  Carl is an experienced gymnast and does an excellent job breaking down some of the different progressions in his videos.  The last resource that we’ve posted on previously and have borrowed quite a bit from in previous posts is Beast Skills.  Jim’s site also has some excellent information especially for step by step instructions on movement progressions and ways to scale difficult movements.  We’re working skillwork time back into class and we’ll be referencing these sites often when we practice gymnastics movements.  Many of you may benefit from their information so please check them out when you have a chance!
