This week we say goodbye to one of our AM class regulars, Mike J (or MJ on the whiteboard). He’s moving closer to work, which is good for him, but sad for us! Mike is known for his incredible creativity (Halloween costumes and cookie baking), kind heart, and aversion to burpees. Mike started working out at Intrepid in March 2011 and has made amazing gains in both strength work and conditioning. He always made it a point to come in on skills days to work on handstands. Before he left, Mike gave us an avocado tree after reading this postwhich we have affectionately named “Elliot” (see above) and we hope he will come visit us (and Elliot) from time to time! Take care, Mike, and keep up your hard work!
On Wednesday, we saw a fabulous array of costumes in the gym. We saw a variety of costumes from Sean and Jason dopplegangers to TV stars, CrossFit athletes to Olympians, and superheroes to cuddly animals. As promised, you will get to vote on best costume based on creativity and execution and crown one person as the best dressed of Halloween of 2012. Take a look at the album here on our facebook page (don’t need to be a member to look) and post your favorite in the comments below. One vote per person only and you must be a CFI member to vote. I’ll tally these up and announce the winner on Monday.
