This Saturday, March 16th in place of our regular workouts we’ll be opening our doors for another great cause, Charity: Water. Join us for a workout, and bring your family and friends in as well and have them join in the WOD too. Show them what you are so passionate about and have fun doing! All while entering raffle tickets to win some fabulous prizes.
In recognition for World Water Day, but also to highlight the startling reality that a large percentage of the world’s population doesn’t have access to safe, clean drinking water. Diseases from unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war. Not to mention the nearest safe drinking water is usually a long hike away taking time away from women and children that instead could be used towards education or other efforts. In Africa alone, over 40 billion hours are spent every year just walking for water.
Guests and visitors are asked to make a minimum donation of $10 to Charity:Water via the CrossFit Intrepid page at http://mycharitywater.org/
How it works:
A contributor, both guests and non guests, will donate through the link provided above and in the event page. An email indicating how much you choose to donate will be printed out and kept in the office with the appropriate amount of tickets in the office. On the day of the event, arrive early to collect your tickets. Visitors, it is asked that you arrive early to let the coaches get acquainted to your needs. This is not an “Elite” fitness routine. All ages and abilities welcomed, including children!
Contributors will have a choice of what prize or prizes you want to apply your tickets towards. There will be a box representing each individual prize. You can put all or just one ticket into each prize box. Each prize box will fully disclose what the prize is. We ask that you keep all donations online as this will make the process easier. We can take donations the day of if needed.
Raffle Prizes Include (but not limited to):
Help spread the word to your family, friends, and coworkers. RSVP on the Facebook event page if possible, and join us this coming Saturday from 9-11am. Vendors will also be present from SFH offering samples of their fish oil and protein powder, and from Marc Pro offering demos on their Electrical Recovery Stimulation units that assist with muscle recovery. All in all, it’s going to be a great event!

10 Thrusters (135/95)
20 Ring Push Ups (or 10 Muscle Ups)
One partner does HPC while the other box jumps. Switch. Repeat with thrusters/ring push ups.
