Practical Movement Skills Offerings

Interested in training for the next season of American Ninja Warrior?  Or would you like to develop the ability to traverse obstacles in the urban or natural environment?  Our Practical Movement Skills training equips you with the movement skills and overall physical competency required for real-life situations that demand a physical response. Using our background and experience in MovNat, Parkour, Gymnastics, Strongman, and other disciplines we’ll develop your skills in climbing, jumping and landing, balancing, crawling, lifting, carrying, throwing, catching, and more to help you prepare for any situation you may face.  We’ll train both indoors and outdoors, as individuals and as groups, and challenge both beginners and advanced athletes.  Each session will focus on a series of skills with progressions to make skills more advanced when necessary, but also regressions that will help deconstruct seemingly complex skills into trainable parts.  Some sessions will culminate with a makeshift course or combination like the one below that was put together around the gym.

Neil (in the video above) began supplementing his training with Practical Movement Skills about three months ago having only done CrossFit prior.  He and I train Practical Movement Skills 1-2 times per week in addition to his CrossFit, and his progress has been great.  Currently I lead a free Practical Movement Skills class at 6am on Thursday and 10am on Saturday, and I’m looking to offer classes in the afternoon/evening so be on the lookout for more class and workshop announcements. Also, if interested in Practical Movement Skills Personal Training (1-on-1, 1-on-2, or 1-on-3) or Group Training (up to 8 people) please contact me so we can work out the details.
