Hopefully some of you get the obscure reference in the title, but I’m getting off topic and the post hasn’t even begun.
For many of us Saturdays have come to have an identity all their own. Whether we let loose or relax, it it typically a day we look forward to especially after an arduous week at work. In a previous life, Jason B. and I dabbled playing a bit of college football and Saturdays, especially during football season, have never been the same. We worked hard all week and all season long to let it all out on game day, Saturday. For 3 of Intrepid’s finest, today is their game day as they go head first into the UTC Challenge in Corona, CA. They’re putting their skills on display today and taking on 3 difficult workouts today so come out and support them in person if you can. Look for the CrossFit Intrepid banner and cheer squad! Wish Nick, Holley, and Michael luck today!
I’d also like to take a moment and congratulate all Intrepids who had PRs over these past couple of weeks. We programmed 1RMs in Front Squat, Back Squat, Press, Bench Press, Deadlift, Snatch, and Clean & Jerk and a good number of you experienced solid jumps since your last 1RMs. Way to go, and keep up the great effort and intensity in 2011!
