The Manhattan Beach 10K took place this Saturday and Intrepid had an incredible turnout with 7 runners. As many members know, our trainers mission is to prepare us for all athletic events, including endurance running. Sean, Jake, Mercy, Mike, Scott, Michelle and DateNite all represented the family today. Everyone in the race had a lot of fun and had great weather for running this morning. All Intrepids posted great times, all under an hour (an impressive feat of its own) and Jake ran his first 10K ever in an impressive (and unverified :P) 42:30. Congrats to all participating Intrepids and thanks for doing such an awesome job representing Crossfit Intrepid.
In other news, Hermosa Beach also had a scavenger hunt this weekend. After last weekend’s CrossFit Scavenger Hunt, some of us caught the hunting bug. Team Dizzy, Brian, Anna, Nick and myself finished first place in the Hermosa Beach scavenger hunt. The hunt required knowledge of the hermosa beach area, random trivia knowledge and the willingness to take embarrassing pictures. The finish was pretty close, but we had no trouble sprinting ahead of the competition. Whether competitions are CrossFit related or not, the CFI family finds ways to have fun together! I hope everyone has a fun filled Sunday!
